Father's Day blog hop

Nothing is more special when you see the smiles on the faces of the dads and the kids
when they presents are being presented.  The kids get just as much kick out of it as the dads do.

I know a lot of card makers have a hard time creating masculine cards.
I don't......I love creating them.
It doesn't hurt to throw in a little feminine touch though.

I love this one.  The muted colors and the wood grain look on the banners.....
awesome!!!!

Check out the new catty startng June 2nd.
Lots of cuteness happenin'

Happy Mother's Day Blog Hop

What a beautiful holiday to celebrate....after all, NONE of us would be here
if it hadn't been for our Mama's.....Right!?!?!

I will be sending this cutie to my mother-in-love.
My Mama passed away many many years ago.

 Isn't this window kinda spectacular???
I just recently purchased the Scallop lines thinlit and was playing around with it and
I cut out two Strawberry Slush pieces and layered them on top of each other, but I flipped one to
create this fab piece.
I had to cut out a window in the card base to really highlight it.

 Close up

I used Sahara Sand ink foladr the stamped images.
Strawberry Slush for the sentiment.

Now for the line-up of the most gorgeous projects from even more

April showers bring May Flowers blog hop

Art imitates life.....or should it be
Life imitates ART!!!

I found this growing in our yard the other day.
Beautiful.....isn't it??

We didn't plant it....we purchased our home less than 2 yrs. ago. and there are some flower beds
that we haven't changed yet. This one happens to be in the flower bed of irises.
I noticed that the leaves were much more broad than the irises...
so I was curious as to what it was going to be.

SURPRISE!!!!

So I wanted to see if I could mimic this beauty.

I used quite a few different things and techniques on this one.  I kept putting it down and then I would notice something else I thought would look great if I added it.
So,  I did!!!!
I used the Love is Kindness stamp and its vertical.  But I think it looks better laying down.  Like I just brought the tulips in from the yard and laid them on the table waiting to be put in a vase.
I colored it using the Aqua painter and ink pads.
Fussy cut the bottom part to hang over the label die and then layered it several times.
Then I threw on some pearls.
Then I added some Crystal Effects on top of the tulips.

I hope I didn't forget anything.
Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

I hope don't get too wet while hopping through the April showers.....
but there is beauty at every turn.

Click below......I'm sure CONNIE is going to wow you!!!

Here's a list of the beauties in case the showers turn torrential.

Hop on over to our Easter blog hop!

Which means spring is around the corner.
Hopefully it will bring lots and lots of beautiful flowers with it.

I created a card with just that.....lots and lots of beautiful flowers.
I used Painted Petals stamp set and created the paper that is on top of the Tempting Turquoise.
I wanted a lighter look....so I used Soft Sky (131181) and So Saffron (126057).
I cut the card base out with the Circle Die set (133480).
Also used one of the dies in the set to cut the scallop So Saffron circle.
The small banner is also from the set.
The sentiment is from Crazy about You clear stamp set (138859).
The circle is from 1-3/4" circle punch (119850).
I stamped Soft Sky on a scrap and cut out one of the flowers to add to the circle.
Used a dimensional (104430)and basic pearl (119247).

Hello YOU!!! Yeah You!!!!

Stampin' Up! has two NEW catalogs
 coming out soooooon!!!!
Keep your eyes open for them.

Can I get a WOOP WOOP!!!!

Sooooo, as you can guess this blog hop will feature products
that you can purchase from one or both of the cattys.

The first one is an easy peasy one.....
ummmm the second one is pretty easy too!!!

Lots of dimension!!! See below to see how I did it.

Card deets:
Whisper white card stock
Blushing bride card stock
"Painted Petals" stamp set
"Hello you" thinlits & Big Shot
Smoky Slate ink pad

I cut the words "hello" & "you" 3 times each out of Blushing Bride card stock
and then glued two together using multipurpose liquid glue
(which gives you a little play time in order to get them lined up perfectly).
Let that layer dry for just a small amount of time and then add the third layer the same way. It makes an instant chip board look.

Using the larger flower from the stamp set on the bottom of the whisper white piece and then using smaller flowers worked my way up to the top by second stamping to remove
some of the ink to create a lighter look.
I masked off the smaller stamp of 3 tiny flowers to have just one showing and I stamped it just above the end of 'hello' then I added a basic pearl.

(Check out my new divider I created)

The next easy peasy one!!!

I love a dimensional look!!!

Car Deets:

Whisper white card stock
Real Red card stock
Real red ink pad
Cajun Craze ink pad
Tangerine Tango ink pad
Crisp Cantaloupe ink pad
(red) Bright Candy Dots
"Crazy About You" stamp set

I stamped the flower from the set mentioned above using all the ink pad colors listed.
Then fussy cut around each of the layers to create a layered flower.
Added a red candy dot to the center.
The leaves are stamped using Cajun Craze and fussy cut out.
Took a large strip of real red card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Decorative Dots
embossing folder.
Stamped the sentiment using Cajun Craze ink pad.

Click on the next button to get you to the great creation made by one of our lovely hoppees!!!!

If you get lost on the way, see the list below.

Until later, buyers of great NEW products!!!!  Gotta split............TFL!!!!!

'Tis the Season blog hop

I've really gotten into some of the more simplistic cards.
You know the old sayings ..."too much of a good thing...
is too much"
or "less is more".
I think that's true sometimes.
I think so much can be conveyed by a tiny little accent.

Much like the tiny glitter heart I added coming out of the chimney....
and the tiny pearl that looks like a small snow ball that was left behind at the last snowball fight.

Card Recipe:
Sahara Sand and whisper white card stock.
Baked brown sugar and Black staz-on ink pads.
Life's Adventures, Lovely as a Tree and Endless Wishes Stamp sets.
White Embossing powder.

Pretty basic stamping, a little fussy cutting and tearing of paper.
The real WOW factor for this card is the snow.

I used Lovely as a Tree to create the trees in the background then
I gave the card base a light dusting of white embossing powder.....
simply sprinkled it on using a pinch at a time.
Yep,  you read it right ......I didn't apply anything to the card base to hold the powder before sprinkling it.
Now you ask, "how do you keep the heat gun from blowing all the powder away?"
Well, let me tell you....
You use the heat gun on the underside of the card stock until you see that it has adhered to the paper and then you can finish it up on the top side.
Let it cool and add more here and there if you like.

Then finish putting it all together.

Don't forget to hop along to see all the loveliness that is in store
by all the other wonderful creators!!!!!
Show 'em a little love too!!!!
They worked hard to come up with these great idea for your viewing pleasure.

Click on the next button.

In case you get lost I have the whole line-up listed below.
