I've really gotten into some of the more simplistic cards.
You know the old sayings ..."too much of a good thing...
is too much"
or "less is more".
I think that's true sometimes.
I think so much can be conveyed by a tiny little accent.
Much like the tiny glitter heart I added coming out of the chimney....
and the tiny pearl that looks like a small snow ball that was left behind at the last snowball fight.
Card Recipe:
Sahara Sand and whisper white card stock.
Baked brown sugar and Black staz-on ink pads.
Life's Adventures, Lovely as a Tree and Endless Wishes Stamp sets.
White Embossing powder.
Pretty basic stamping, a little fussy cutting and tearing of paper.
The real WOW factor for this card is the snow.
I used Lovely as a Tree to create the trees in the background then
I gave the card base a light dusting of white embossing powder.....
simply sprinkled it on using a pinch at a time.
Yep, you read it right ......I didn't apply anything to the card base to hold the powder before sprinkling it.
Now you ask, "how do you keep the heat gun from blowing all the powder away?"
Well, let me tell you....
You use the heat gun on the underside of the card stock until you see that it has adhered to the paper and then you can finish it up on the top side.
Let it cool and add more here and there if you like.
Then finish putting it all together.
